About The Competition
India is home to a vast and diverse civilisational legacy that exists not only in historic monuments but also in everyday life, language, traditions, and ecology. Yet, much of this heritage remains undocumented or unappreciated in formal education.
As part of Bharatiya Vigyan Sammelan (BVS) 2025, this competition seeks to bridge this gap by involving school children in a discovery of their local heritage context, promoting awareness, pride, and responsibility towards its preservation and continuity.
Competition Format
Short Reel
Up to 90 seconds
Capturing a local heritage element through video and narration. Can be in any Bharatiya language with subtitles.
Poster Presentation
Digital or Hand-drawn
Highlighting a heritage site, object, tradition, or practice with focus on:
- Its uniqueness and relevance
- Local stories or community practice
- Associated knowledge systems
- Environmental, scientific, or cultural values
